KVNY – Van Nuys, California
Located in the heart of the San Fernando Valley, Van Nuys Airport ranks as one of the world’s busiest general aviation airports.
KVNY has a rich history in aviation, hosting record breakers and celebrities over its 90 years in service.
Van Nuys Airport covers 725 acres (293 ha) and has two runways:
- 16R/34L: 8,001 ft × 150 ft (2,439 m × 46 m), asphalt
- 16L/34R: 4,013 ft × 75 ft (1,223 m × 23 m), asphalt
Van Nuys is Flying Academy’s newest location established in January 2021.
KAJO – Corona, California
Corona airport is located in western Riverside County, east of Orange County.
This small, community-oriented airport is home to 300-350 general aviation aircraft and is strictly a recreational airport with no commercial flights, which makes it a perfect place for beginner pilots and time builders.
KAJO lies in non-controlled airspace with 3,200 x 60 feet single runway. No Control Tower operations allows optimal use of your training time and it will make you a safer and more confident pilot with higher awareness of other nearby aircrafts.
Flying Academy is successfully operation out of Corona Airport for 4 years with a current fleet of three aircraft.
Corona Municipal Airport, KAJO, is three miles northwest of Downtown Corona, serving Riverside County, California, United States. The airport has a few businesses, such as a cafe, Flying Academy flight training center, and aircraft maintenance.
